Underage drinking on Ponus Ridge Road

John DeMarco, 18, was charged in connection with a report of underage drinking at his residence on Ponus Ridge Road April 15 at 7:49 a.m.
A neighbor called police after he saw several beer cans and bottles on the driveway and front lawn. He told police he saw several teenage males passed out in the living room through the window, none of whom he recognized, according to the report.
Once police responded, they also found a marijuana pipe in plain view. After speaking to all five teens who were there, DeMarco was charged with failure to halt possession of alcohol by a minor, possession of alcohol by a minor and possession of drug paraphernalia.

$80,000 worth of jewelry missing from Oenoke Ridge
Police responded to a complaint of a burglary from Oenoke Ridge April 11 at 9:03 p.m.
The homeowner said he left the home with his kids for approximately one hour before returning to find several pieces of high-end jewelry missing from the jewelry cabinet in the master bedroom, police said.
The pieces of jewelry are valued at approximately $80,000. Police said there were no signs of forced entry. They did question the babysitter in regards to the incident. Police said the babysitter reportedly left the home at the same time as the homeowner.
The matter is still under investigation.
