Tires stolen from car dealer

Two sets of four tires were stolen in the early morning hours of April 22 from Karl Chevrolet, 261 Elm St., New Canaan, police said.
At 2 p.m. employees reported that the tires from two cars were stolen, police said. Surveillance of the car storage lot showed an individual walking through around 3 a.m. with a small hydraulic car jack, the report stated. The two cars were raised up onto cinder blocks and the tires removed.
Each set of tires and rims cost $2,000, police said.
