Three named to new positions at Bankwell

The New Canaan-based Bankwell recently made a number of employee promotions and announcements.

Daniel DiGirolamo has been promoted to vice president and commercial credit team leader. DiGirolamo joined Bankwell in 2013 as a senior credit analyst and has more than 11 years' experience in credit and lending, with the last seven-plus years in the community banking sector.

DiGirolamo earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the College of Saint Rose in Albany, N.Y., and holds a master's degree in finance from the New England College of Business and Finance. He resides in Ossining, N.Y.

Matthew L. Oxx joined the bank as vice president and director of financial reporting. He spent five years in public accounting with KPMG, specializing in finance and serving as audit manager for several major clients. Most recently, he was vice president of finance, risk and controls at Royal Bank of Scotland.

Oxx received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Pace University, graduating summa cum laude, and also holds an MBA from Pace University, receiving the department award for highest academic average.

Oxx resides in South Salem, N.Y., with his wife and daughter.

Lisa McDonnell joined the bank as assistant vice president and cash management sales officer. She brings nearly 10 years of retail banking, branch management and regional lending experience to her role and will be responsible for serving the needs of businesses throughout Fairfield County.

In addition to her banking expertise, McDonnell has experience in business development, sales management, residential underwriting and small business underwriting.

She most recently was a financial services manager at People's United Bank.
