Jane Delano, 55, of 312 Elm St., was arrested at about 9:23 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, on charges of second-degree breach of peace and interfering with an officer following a disturbance at Sole restaurant.

Police said officers were dispatched to the restaurant at 105 Elm St., where Delano was being loud and belligerent, swearing and was intoxicated.

When officers went to restrain her, she swore at them, refused to put her arms behind her back, and slapped at the hands of officers, according to police.

Delano was held in lieu of $5,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, May 28.

Two days earlier, police responded at 10:40 p.m. to Knapp Lane where Delano, who was intoxicated, was yelling and screaming at her ex-boyfriend's home.

Police said Delano was asked several times by the boyfriend to leave the property. When police arrived on the scene, she was belligerent and uncooperative, they said.

She was arrested on charges of third-degree criminal trespassing and interfering with an officer.

Bond was set at $1,000, which Delano did not post. She was scheduled to appear in court on Friday, May 24.

Additionally, police said on the morning of Sunday, May 26, while Delano was in police custody, officers were dispatched to her residence on a report of vandalism.

Officers reported that the house looked as if it had been ransacked, but nothing appeared to be damaged nor were items of value missing.

Delano told police the house had been in immaculate shape when she left for Sole restaurant on Saturday but that she'd left the screen door open, according to the report.
