Waveny LifeCare Network's annual Swinging for Seniors Golf and Tennis Outing will take place May 18 at the Country Club of New Canaan. Funds raised will provide financial assistance to residents and patients who cannot afford the full cost of their care at the nonprofit Waveny Care Center, The Village at Waveny, The Inn and Waveny's Adult Day Program.
The event includes a full day of golf and tennis, a reception, an award ceremony and a raffle.
Karl Chevrolet is back as hole-in-one sponsor at the event, showcasing a 2015 Chevrolet that a lucky golfer could win with an ace on No. 7.
"Waveny LifeCare Network serves as a cornerstone for the town of New Canaan and Karl Chevrolet is delighted to support this outstanding community resource," said Stephen J. Karl, vice president of Karl Chevrolet. "It has been a pleasure to be involved with this tournament since its inception 13 years ago and to have watched it grow into one of our community's most anticipated events of the spring season."
The event is for golf and tennis enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels, and there is still time to register and participate. For more information, contact Joanne Boyer in Waveny's Development Office at 203-594-5416 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
