Police recovered a 43-year-old male commuter's bicycle that was stolen from a bicycle rack at the New Canaan Train Station sometime between the Thursday morning rush and early Friday morning, according to New Canaan Police Sgt. Carol Ogrinc.

Still missing is an AXA bicycle chain securing the bike, worth $100, and a $60 Nutcase bicycle helmet, Ogrinc said.

The man reported the theft at 12:24 a.m. Friday morning after returning to pick up the bike, and officers found the $600 Black Gazelle classic bicycle was found resting against a small tree at the intersection of Park and Elm streets, according to Ogrinc.
