Boston University bound Walter Whyte and Boston College bound Sydney Lowery both had plenty of success in their high school careers.

Both won back-to-back FAA titles, Whyte helped lead the boys team to consecutive NEPSAC Class C crowns and Lowery finished her career as the All-Time leading scorer in St. Luke’s basketball history.

While their storied high school tenures have come to a close, both Whyte and Lowery continue to be honored on the court.

Whyte played in the 2017 JCC Schoolboy Classic April 9 for team Connecticut at the Cardinal Sheehan Center in Bridgeport. The senior was named MVP of the game, scoring 24 points in a SCORE win over New Jersey.

Lowery was chosen to play in the Rose All-Star Classic on April 13 at Uncommon Charter High School in Brooklyn. Lowery was one of 20 girls from the tri-state to participate in the event.
