Connecticut will get off to a chilly start Monday, with scattered flurries across the state during the early part of the morning commute. After that, though, temperatures will steadily rise, with highs in the high 30s and low 40s throughout the state.
In southwestern Connecticut, temperatures were in the high 20s just before dawn, but expected to rise quickly, WTNH meteorologist Gil Simmons said.
Temperatures will also be moderate throughout the week, with highs getting into the 40s virtually every day, Simmons said. There's a chance for some light snow, sleet or freezing rain Thursday night into Friday morning, but nothing that's expected to cause major commuting problems.
