E.J. Simon's crime thriller, "Death Never Sleeps," which blurs lines between death, the spirit and the Internet, will be available for signing by the Westport author from noon to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at Elm Street Books, 35 Elm St., New Canaan.
In the book, Simon's first novel, Alex Nicholas, a Queens, N.Y., bookie, is murdered. Before the shooting, he installed specialized software on a secret laptop: A program that would allow him to live forever. His death leaves behind his brother, Michael, a straight-laced corporate CEO living the American dream. Now his life is in danger thanks to Alex's illegal dealings. With Alex's help from beyond the grave, Michael must track down the murderer before he meets the same fate.
Fairfield County readers will recognize many restaurants featured in the book.
Simon received a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from the University of South Carolina and a Master of Arts in communications from Fairfield University before beginning his career with Chase Manhattan Bank. Since then, he has worked as a consultant to many private equity firms and corporations and held senior-level positions at financial services companies.
