The Silvermine School of Art is hosting the annual Art Materials & Equipment Tag Sale Fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 27. Proceeds will benefit the Silvermine Scholarship Fund.

An assortment of merchandise will be available, including stretcher bars, paints (oil, acrylics, watercolors and pastels), frames, cameras, enlargers, ceramic supplies, painting and drawing materials, photography, printmaking, jewelry and sculpture supplies and equipment and art books.

Donations are needed for the tag sale. Art-related items, used or unused art materials, equipment and art books can be dropped off at the Silvermine School of Art auditorium on Wednesday and Thursday, April 24 and 25, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The School of Art, 1037 Silvermine Road, New Canaan, is a nonprofit organization that fosters, promotes and encourages artistic and educational endeavors. Even though tuition fees for courses and workshops are competitive with other art schools in the region, there are still students who cannot take advantage of what Silvermine has to offer due to lack of funds. To assist these students, Silvermine has a developing scholarship program based on need and talent. Funds received from events such as the tag sale assist these students.
