Jeff Fager, chairman of CBS News and executive producer of "60 Minutes," will speak to the Senior Men's Club Friday, Aug. 19, at 10 a.m. at St. Mark's Church.
He will discuss the success of serious reporting on "60 Minutes" in a time when tabloid journalism is so prevalent.
Fager became the first chairman of CBS News in February 2011, after re-shaping its flagship broadcast, "60 Minutes," into a news-conscious award-winning program that regularly makes Nielsen's Top 10. His efforts to improve the hit program online have also made the "60 Minutes" brand an online hit. He continues to oversee the news program while executing his plan to create successful digital platforms.
