Dr. David S. Seres will address the Senior Men's Club of New Canaan in Morrill Hall at St. Mark's Church on Feb. 27, at 10 a.m. where he will share his views on dietary supplements.

According to Seres, director of medical nutrition and associate professor of medicine in the Institute of Human Nutrition at Columbia University Medical Center, more than half of Americans are taking dietary supplements, feeding a $30 billion industry -- one of the fastest-growing industries in the world. But, they are not the amazing panacea that the public is led to believe, Seres says. He says there is a need to reassess regulation of dietary supplements and educate the public.
