At its Dec. 3 meeting, the New Canaan Board of Selectmen approved several contracts, discussed recommendations from the Parking Commission and signed off on a number of appointments and reappointments.
The following items were unanimously approved:
A construction change order with Pat Munger Construction for $20,768. The money will be used toward "an under-slab demolition work" at the Fire House after new plumbing issues were discovered.
A contract with ComNet Communications for $12,101. The money will be used to pay for the relocation of the fiber network so an elevator can be built.
Two contracts with Northeast Generator for wastewater treatment plant generator switches: one $17,035 switch to serve the Highway Department and three switches, totaling $30,000, at three pumping stations.
A contract with Fairfield Country Portables for $17,750 toward sanitary services for the crews working at the Town Hall construction project.
The selectmen also approved 25 appointments and reappointments for several commissions and boards.
