Scholar to discuss German U-Boats with Sr. Men

Charles McCain will speak to the Senior Men's Club of New Canaan in Merrill Hall at St. Mark's Church Friday, Feb. 17, at 10 a.m. McCain is an accomplished scholar in the history of undersea warfare, especially the German U-Boat force.

McCain has written a novel, "An Honorable German," from the point of view of a German naval officer. He will discuss this book as well as the general subject of U-Boats.

McCain is a native of Mobile, Ala., and grew up in South Carolina. He is a graduate of Tulane University. Most of his working life was spent in the banking industry. Following his presentation, copies of his book will be available for sale and signing.

The Senior Men's Club of New Canaan is open for new members. Applicants are especially welcome to attend this meeting.
