The Silvermine Arts Center is hosting an art tour, "Sacred Spaces," in New York City on Wednesday, Oct. 16, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Guide Anne Bolin will lead the tour of some of the city's famous and lesser-known, but equally affecting, spiritual venues. The social history of each spot will be discussed, with the primary focus being how each religion/philosophy has designed its space to tap into all the senses.
Bolin, a specialist in 19th-century art and culture, is a professor of art history at Sacred Heart University.
Participants should wear comfortable walking shoes.
Tickets are $50. Attendees will be notified of the location to meet by email, which they must provide at time of registration.
