The South Western Region Metropolitan Planning Organization will meet April 26 to discuss transportation policy, programs and projects that concern the South Western Region. Action items include an amendment to the FFY2010-2013 and the FFY 2012-2015 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and approval of FTA Section 5310 candidate projects and priorities.

The meeting will be held at the South Western Regional Planning Agency Offices at the Stamford Government Center, 888 Washington Blvd, Stamford, and will begin promptly at 8:15 a.m.

The organization comprises the chief elected officials of the South Western Region's eight towns of Darien, Greenwich, New Canaan, Norwalk, Stamford, Weston, Westport and Wilton, and the directors of the region's transit districts. As mandated by federal regulations, it is responsible for transportation policy development, planning and programming of federal transportation funding for the region.

SWRMPO meets the on the fourth Thursday of every month, at either the Norwalk Transit District or the South Western Regional Planning Agency. The public is invited to participate.
