"Marketing Research on a Shoestring," a workshop to help small business owners acquire the research they need without breaking budgets, will be offered by SCORE Tuesday, June 2, at 6 p.m. at the New Canaan Library.
Registration for the workshop, which will take place in the Adrian Lamb Room, starts at 5:30 p.m.
Tom Greenbaum, a professor, career marketing consultant and author, will be the featured speaker and will cover:
how to conduct research at no cost;
how to determine trends in markets;
researching the attitudes of customers;
focus groups and where they might fit into a marketing program; and
how to most effectively use a business library for research purposes.
Greenbaum spent his career in the marketing consulting business working with large and small companies. He worked at both Procter & Gamble and Church & Dwight, and then ran several of his own businesses in marketing and marketing research for more than 35 years. He has written six books and has taught marketing and marketing research at American University, University of Connecticut, the Stern Graduate School of Business and New York University. He is a veteran SCORE counselor.
