Rotary Club to host Lobsterfest

Each fall, the Rotary Club of New Canaan holds its largest annual fundraiser -- the Family Lobsterfest -- and this year marks its 25th anniversary.
The event has become a tradition for many local families and this year promises to be the biggest and best one yet ... complete with a bouncy castle and $5 kids meals, dining under the tent on the grounds of the Historical Society or dinners packed up to go.
In addition, orders of 10 or more lobster meals can be ordered ahead and delivered free for entertaining at home. Guests at the Lobsterfest enjoy a delicious meal of fresh Maine lobster, sweet local corn on the cob, cole slaw or salad, roll, melted butter, desert and a drink. Grilled chicken is also an option for a $10 discount at the door, and this year, for the first time, seconds on lobsters will be available.
"It doesn't get any better than this -- great food, fun with friends and all proceeds donated to deserving local charities," said Rotary President Scott Hobbs. "We hope the community will join us on Sept. 24 from 5 to 8 pm or on Sept.25 from noon to 8 p.m. and help us celebrate our 25th Annual Lobsterfest with the best turn-out yet."
Tickets for Lobsterfest are $30.00 and can be purchased from any Rotary member or at the Roger Sherman Inn.
