Purchases made with $11,000 in stolen checks

A St. John's Place woman reported to police on Friday, Jan. 11, that checks had been removed from her checkbook and used to make purchases that amount to $11,000, according to police.

Between Dec. 19 and Jan. 2, four checks for different amounts were taken from the woman's checkbook, she told police.

Police said the woman believes she knows who is responsible, and police confirmed they have a suspect in the case.
