Twenty-five outages were reported in New Canaan, as of 11 a.m. today, by the Connectict Light & Power Co., which serves 8,375 customers in town.

Overall, CL&P has reported 9,395 customers in its total coverage are without power. The utility serves 1,240,246 customers throughout Connecticut.

CL&P is continuing to monitor Hurricane Sandy as it moves up the East Coast toward New England. The company has made preparations should the storm affect its service territory.
