Police charge New Canaan woman with DWI

Maureen D. Corcoran, 53, of Park Street was charged with driving while intoxicated at 9:47 p.m. on March 5.
According to the report, an officer stopped Corcoran on Park Street near Cherry Street for having a defective tail light. Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer said he noticed signs of intoxication including the odor of alcohol. He also said Corcoran was slurring her speech. After conducting field sobriety tests, police charged her with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and cited for the defective tail light. She posted a $250 bond and is expected in court on March 15.
