Disorderly conduct

Peter Mazza, 74, of North Wilton Road, was charged by police with disorderly conduct on Sunday, July 12, in connection with a domestic dispute, according to a police report.

Mazza allegedly pushed the victim, another family member during an argument in the parking lot of East School, according to the report. Police did not describe the argument.

He was released on a promise to appear in state Superior Court in Stamford on Monday, July 13, according to police.

Marijuana charge

A 17-year-old boy was charged on July 10 as a juvenile with possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana on Putnam Road, New Canaan Police Capt. Vincent DeMaio said.

Police withheld the boy’s name because of his age.

Police responded to Putnam Road at 6:58 p.m. on a report from a resident about a suspicious vehicle and found a car with five youths in it, DeMaio said. Police detected the odor of marijuana and asked if anyone in the car had drugs, and the boy turned over a small bag of marijuana and two smoking pipes with marijuana residue in them, according to the police report.

He was referred to state Superior Juvenile Court in Bridgeport, DeMaio said.
