Police: New Canaan man a fugitive from justice

NEW CANAAN — Police arrested a 48-year-old New Canaan man on a warrant out of Oneida County, New York.
On Feb. 24 around 7:45 p.m., the New York State Attorney General’s Office contacted New Canaan police regarding a warrant out of their office for Stuart Alexander Bannatyne of Jelliff Mill Road. Police went to Bannatyne’s home and took custody of him without incident.
Bannatyne was brought to police headquarters where he was charged with being a fugitive from justice. He was held without bond and brought to Norwalk Court on Feb. 27.
New Canaan Police had no further information regarding the warrant.
