Olga Gutierrez, 22, of 16 Lawrence Street, Norwalk, was arrested on Wednesday, May 22, on outstanding warrants after a routine traffic stop.
Police said Gutierrez's vehicle was stopped after she was seen using a handheld cell phone while driving. When the officer checked her license and registration, two arrest warrants for second-degree failure to appear in court were discovered, said police.
Gutierrez was served the warrants at police headquarters, according to the report.
Gutierrez was originally arrested on Aug. 15, 2012, for operating with a suspended license, violation of a red light, operating an unregistered vehicle and failure to carry insurance. She was arrested again on Jan. 16 for operating under a suspended license and following too closely. She did appear in court as required for both instances, according to police.
She posted $2,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, May 30.
