The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection is seeking entries for a photo contest for the 2015 Connecticut Angler's Guide.
The winning photo will be featured on the cover of the guide. Other top photos will be published inside.
The DEEP is looking for high-resolution digital photos that appeal to a diversity of anglers and the general public. Submitted photos must be outdoor scenes that include one or more people fishing or displaying their catch. Images should be in sharp focus and have good color contrast.
"We have a wide range of excellent fishing opportunities here in Connecticut," Bill Hyatt, chief of DEEP's Bureau of Natural Resources, said. "We hope that through this contest, we'll receive a diverse collection of digital photographs that capture the true essence and broad scope of Connecticut's fisheries resources."
Entries must be submitted by Nov. 1.
Contest information and submission forms can be found online by visiting www.ct.gov/deep/fishing. Photos can be emailed to email@example.com.
