'Notes in Midwinter' continues

The duo of cellist Adrian Daurov and pianist Di Wu will perform "An Afternoon of Romantic Masterpieces for Cello and Piano" at the "Notes in Midwinter" concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, in the Adrian Lamb Room of the New Canaan Library.

"Notes in Midwinter," now in its 30th year, offers free concerts featuring musicians and ensembles performing music ranging from chamber and classical to jazz and contemporary vocals. The program is arranged by the Music Committee, Friends of New Canaan Library.

Upcoming concerts are:

Jan. 19: Whim 'n Rhythm, Yale's senior women's a capella group, will perform Women's Voices Raised in Song, a wide repertoire from jazz standards to contemporary songs.

Jan. 26: Rani Arbo and Daisy Mayhem, a harmony, roots and rhythm quartet, will perform music for all ages.

Feb. 2: Cynthia Sayer Trio, a banjo, bass and trumpet show that includes hot jazz, tango, western swing, roots.
