Norwalk man apprehended for failure to appear

Efrain H. Depaz, 40 of Prospect Street, Norwalk, was arrested at about 8 p.m. on Friday, March 15, on charges of failure to appear in court on two separate dates.

He was charged with first-degree failure to appear in court on April 21, 2003, on a Nov. 16, 2002, charge for second-degree forgery. New Canaan police made the initial arrest.

He was also charged with second-degree failure to appear in court on April 21, 2003, Dec. 4, 2001, charges of improper marker plates, operating a vehicle under suspension, failure to use turn signal and no insurance.

He posted a $10,000 bond and a $2,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, March 27.
