New Canaan resident Thomas Parrino is a co-founder of the firm.
"Katie brings additional depth to Nusbaum & Parrino as we grow our practice," said Edward Nusbaum, who founded the firm with Parrino in 1993. "We've seen a significant uptick in business and felt the time was right to hire another attorney. We look for the best talent we can find to work with our clients and Katie fits the bill."
Previously, Phillips worked as an associate attorney with another law firm in Westport, was a clerk and case flow coordinator for the regional family trial docket in Middletown and assisted judges Lynda B. Munro and Gerard I. Adelman in docket management.
She earned a Juris Doctor degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2012, receiving concentrations in family law, civil advocacy and dispute resolution. She was the recipient of academic achievement awards.
Phillips earned bachelor's degrees in communications and sociology from the University of Connecticut in 2009.
