New Canaanite's Middle East experiences subject of talk

The League of Women Voters of New Canaan will present New Canaanite Zuhair Suidan as its speaker at the League's annual meeting on May 13 at the Country Club of New Canaan.
Suidan, a longtime New Canaan resident, is an American, Palestinian, Israeli, Christian Arab. Born in Palestine, as a young boy he became a refugee in Lebanon for five years, then received his high school education in Israel, and his university education in the United States.
Suidan will share his knowledge about the geographic history of the Middle East, his childhood memories and the realities on the ground in the Holy Land today. Based on his own experiences of having lived and worked in the Middle East, he will also share his observations about the role of women and about what is happening to Christians in the region.
Suidan had a varied 23-year career with IBM. Since 1993, he has headed Suidan Associates, providing consulting and training services in the areas of strategy development and marketing planning in the United States, Europe, the West Bank and Gaza, and throughout the Middle East.
