New Canaan woman charged with DWI

Pamela M. Chiesi, 46, of Father Peters Lane, was charged at 12:33 a.m. March 4 for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

Police said Chiesi was driving south on New Norwalk Road when an officer clocked her on radar exceeding the speed limit.

Upon pulling her over, the officer detected the odor of alcohol and said she had bloodshot and glassy eyes. After conducting various field sobriety tests, she was arrested and charged with speeding and a failure to drive right in addition to the drunk driving charges.

She posted a $260 bond and is due in court on March 17.
