New Canaan teens found with beer in car

Police stopped a car full of seven teens and 20 beers on Turtle Back Road on Saturday night, Sept. 29.

Police responded to a noise complaint in the area, whereupon they encountered a number of cars parked on the street. As one of the cars attempted to leave, the officer stopped it, police said.

According to police, the 18-year-old driver admitted that there were 20 beers in the car, which belonged to a 17-year-old passenger, police reported.

Officers confiscated the alcohol and issued the 17-year-old an infraction.
