A 16-year-old male was assaulted outside the Mobil gas station on South Avenue April 29 at 10:24 p.m.

Police said the victim was walking with another 16-year-old male talking to each other when four to five older male youths reportedly saying they were going to "kill" the two teens. After a back and forth between the victim and the aggressors, the older youths ran after the 16-year-old and assaulted him. The victim's friend was able to call the police, but the older youths fled the scene before officers arrived.

The victim was transported by ambulance to the hospital with knee injuries. The victim did not recognize his attackers from school or anywhere else police said.
