NEW CANAAN — An 18-year-old New Canaan man allegedly had alcohol in his car.

On Dec. 23 around 1 a.m., Charles Adl, of Oak Street, was a passenger in a car that was pulled over on Main Street for driving without headlights or tail lights in display. The officer detected an odor marijuana and proceeded to search the vehicle.

The investigation did not find any marijuana but did turn up seven cans of unopened beer and two bottles of unopened vodka. Adl was charged with possession of alcohol as a minor.
