Jacob A. Geyfman, 19, of 34 North Parish Road, New Canaan, was arrested Aug. 18 on charges of operating under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, failure to drive right, possession of alcohol by a minor and second-degree forgery.
A New Canaan officer was driving on Park Street when he noticed a vehicle coming in the opposite direction with its high beams illuminated, according to police. The officer flashed his car's beams to signal to the driver to turn them off, but Geyfman did not, police said.
As the two cars passed each other, the officer saw Geyfman's vehicle drifting over the double yellow lines, so he turned around and followed the teen, according to the report.
Police said Geyfman continued drifting over the yellow lines, so the officer pulled him over on Weed Street, near Frogtown Road. As he approached him, the officer immediately detected an odor of alcohol and Geyfman was administered field sobriety tests, which he failed, according to the report.
In addition, police said they found two fake Connecticut driver's licenses and 12 unopened cans of beer in Geyfman's car.
He posted $250 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 29.
