Bossidy will attend Franklin & Marshall College and McKinley will attend Quinnipiac University in the fall. Each received a $500 check.
Caileigh Murray, a freshman at New Canaan High School, was selected as the national associate editor of Patriot's Legacy magazine, the quarterly magazine of National Society of Children of the American Revolution. Murray also serves as the Connecticut state recording secretary and, locally, as first vice president of Captain Stephen Betts Society.
Megan Archino, a sophomore environmental studies major, was named to dean's list in Ithaca College's School of Humanities and Sciences for the spring semester.
Alexander Greig, of New Caanan, was named a W.K. Kellogg Foundation Woodrow Wilson Michigan Teaching Fellow.
The foundation's teaching fellowship recruits outstanding recent college graduates in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The 2014 fellows are the fourth class of new teacher candidates to be prepared through the program since the fellowship was launched in Michigan in 2010.
Each fellow will receive a $30,000 stipend while completing a master's-level teacher education program at a participating Michigan university. The institutions commit to provide fellows a full year of experience in local classrooms, as well as specific teaching approaches for the STEM fields.
He has been an assistant teacher/mathematics tutor on the middle school level; a private math tutor, elementary level; a volunteer for a middle school youth group; and college residential facilities coordinator and community adviser. Fluent in Spanish, he participated in mission trips to Chicago, Puerto Rico, Louisiana and California.
Katie Melland, a member of the class of 2017 at Skidmore College, earned honors for the spring semester.
