NEW CANAAN — The Fourth of July holiday in New Canaan saw a rash of car-related crimes, including a Porsche stolen from a Graystone Circle home.

On July 4, police received 10 reports of unlocked cars being entered. The thefts are believed to have occurred during the early morning or overnight hours. All cars involved were unlocked and valuables such as wallets, cash, credit cards, drivers’ licenses and a cell phone were taken.

On Graystone Circle, a 2015 Porsche was taken after being left unlocked with the keys inside. Police have since recovered the car but are actively investigating the incident.

The remaining car entries were reported on Millport Avenue, Richmond Hill Road, Sunrise Avenue, West Hills Road and the upper blocks of Elm Street.
