Village Critter Outfitter, 107 Cherry St., is hosting an adoption event with STAR-Stamford Animal Rescue from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday March 30.

STAR-Stamford Animal Rescue is a nonprofit pet rescue that is dedicated to finding forever homes for homeless animals and to ensure that guardians will not have to abandon their pets due to economic hardship.

"We welcome STAR-Stamford Animal Rescue for a chance to make a difference in a homeless pet's life and give exposure to the mission work they do with helping pet guardians who are having some financial struggles," said Shirleen Dubuque, owner of Village Critter Outfitter. "Adopting one of these homeless animals and/or giving a donation for such a worthy cause is a rewarding experience. Stop in and talk with STAR-Stamford Animal Rescue this weekend."
