After yesterday's unsettled weather cleared out of southwestern Connecticut very early this morning, the outlook for the weekend is bright.

The National Weather Service says that skies will be sunny both Saturday and Sunday, with daytime high temperatures in the mid- to upper-80s.

Today is expected to be the warmer of the two days, with temperatures that could crest at about 90. There will be a north wind between 8 and 11 mph.

Tonight will be mostly clear, with a low around 67.

Tomorrow is not expected to be quite as hot, the NWS says, with a high about 84 degrees. The wind will be from the north wind at between 3 and 6 mph. Nighttime will be mostly clear, with a low around 68.

Monday brings a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 4 p.m. Otherwise, the day should be partly sunny, with a high near 86. There will be a west wind between 5 and 10 mph. A continued chance of precipitation is in the forecast Monday night under cloudy skies as the temperature drops to about 69 degrees.

Tuesday should be sunny, with a high near 85 degrees, the weather service predicts.
