New Canaan's Pura Vida for Children packs food for starving children

  • It was all hands on deck this weekend at the Pura Vida "Feed My Starving Children" meal packing event. Held in the New Canaan High School auditorium, all ages came out to help measure, bag, seal and package 202,000 meals, which will feed 550 impoverished children for a year. The Pura Vida for Children Club of New Canaan High School hosted a meal-packing event Saturday and Sunday, where community members helped package thousands of meals that will be sent to feed starving children around the world.

The event took place at New Canaan High School, where 856 volunteers helped pack 202,000 meals, which will feed 550 children for a year.
