New Canaan resident reports mail tampering

A 61-year-old Michigan Road resident reported to police on Saturday, March 16, that he believes his mail is being tampered with, according to police.

The complainant reported that he believes the tampering has been going on since January. He said some of his mail has been opened but that nothing was missing from the envelopes, said police. He routinely checks for any signs of identy theft, but has seen no indications.

According to police, the U.S. Postal Service is involved in the investigation.
