For its annual benefit on May 31, Family Centers transported more than 450 guests back to a time when jazz music filled the air, flapper dancers were all the rage and elegance was always in fashion.

At the waterfront home of Laurie and Peter Grauer in Greenwich, Family Centers' Gatsby on the Sound benefit captured the essence of the classic novel, "The Great Gatsby." The centers' largest fundraiser of the year, it raised more than $650,000 for the agency's human service, health and education programs, which serve more than 25,000 Fairfield County residents each year.
