NEW CANAAN — Police arrested a 33-year-old New Canaan man after he allegedly hit his neighbor’s car while backing out of his driveway.

On March 21 around 9 p.m., police went to a home on East Avenue in response to a car accident. Police determined Balu Sagadevan was backing out of the driveway of his East Avenue home when he hit his neighbor’s car but did not stop at the scene.

Police found Sagadevan at work and took him into custody on charges of evading responsibility. Sagadevan was released on a $500 bond. He was given a court date of April 4.
