New Canaan man allegedly broke mirror during domestic dispute

NEW CANAAN — A 23-year-old New Canaan man was charged with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct after he allegedly broke a mirror and damaged a door jamb during a domestic dispute.
Police responded to a house on Beacon Hill Lane on June 21 around 8 p.m. on a report of a dispute between Robert Bottone and another resident. Based on an investigation into the complaint made by the victim and evidence at the scene, including a broken mirror and a damaged door jamb, Bottone was issued a misdemeanor summons at the scene. He was charged with third-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.
Bottone was released on a promise to appear in court on June 22. Police said they will not be releasing further information on the matter as it is domestic in nature.
