The New Canaan girls track team succumbed fell to crosstown rival Darien by a 104-41 margin on Thursday at Darien High School.

New Canaan's Stephanie Benko won the 1,600 with a time of 5:22.0. Cristina Konstantinovic won the triple jump (31.1 3/4) and placed second in both the long jump (13.5') and 300-meter hurdles (53.60 seconds).

Rebecca Evensen won the discus (91'2").

Isabel Hetherington placed second in the 800-meter (2:32.40) and third in the 1,600-meter (5:28.60).

Maureen Schoot took second in the 100-meter (13.70) and third in the 200-meter (28.00) and 400-meter (1:03.70).

The New Canaan quartet of Wood, Naughton, Azadeh Amir-Aslani and Schott won the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 4:23.90.
