The New Canaan girls tennis team picked up a 7-0 victory at home against Fairfield Warde on Monday to boost its record to 5-1.

Only the top singles matchup required a third set, as New Canaan's Jensen Lee scored a 7-6 (7-4), 4-6, 6-4 victory over Jenny Schneider.

At second singles, New Canaan's Kate Howard defeated Emily Simonds 6-1, 6-2. New Canaan No. 3 singles player Jackie Millisitts bested MacKenzie Burns 6-1, 6-2. New Canaan completed the singles sweep when No. 4 player Caroline Gordon topped Emily Schmertzler 6-2, 6-1.

New Canaan also enjoyed success at doubles as its top tandem of Sara Greene and Kristin Laub won a first set tiebreaker en route to a 7-6 (7-2), 6-1 victory. At second doubles, Tyler Kendall and Sarah Lovejoy picked up another victory for the Rams by taking down Mackenzie Hiltz and Mary Ball 6-1, 6-1. New Canaan's third doubles team of Guiliana Savini and Emma Gruber also needed a tiebreaker before winning in straight sets by a score of 7-6 (8-6), 6-1.
