The New Canaan girls swim team scored a 95-67 victory over St. Joseph on Monday, claiming victory in every swim and also notching a second place finish in all but one. The win boosted the Rams' record to 3-1.
In the 200 medley relay, the Rams' two quartets of Olivia Rusch, Meghan Egan, Audrey Ettinger and Alex Aliapoulios and Abby Condon, Shannon Bucci, Grace Stryker and Siri Thronbeck claimed first and second place with times of 1:57.81 and 2:07.65, respectively.
Kate Dalia claimed the 200 individual medley by clocking in at 2:27.97 and Condon was second with a time of 2:34.09.
In the 50 freestyle, New Canaan's Gweneth Thalacker and Thornbeck took first and second in 27.45 and 22.94, respectively.
New Canaan's Kylie Towbin won the diving with a score of 244.70, and Olivia Park was second with a score of 168.30.
Meghan Egan also claimed a first place finish in the 100 butterfly in 1:03.27, and Audrey Ettinger was second in 1:05.25.
Aliapoulios won the 100 freestyle in 57.21, and Kate Dalia was the runner-up in 59.19.
Jenna Egan also claimed the 500 freestyle in 5:32.55 with Thalacker taking third place in 5:37.64.
The Rams also finished first and second in the 200 freestyle, as the event was won by Colwell, Aliapoulios, Meghan Egan and Jenna Egan in 1:45.59. The New Canaan quartet of Dalia, Ettinger, Thornbeck and Thalacker claimed second in 1:50.70.
Madeline Castle captured the 100 backstroke for New Canaan in a time of 1:08.70, and she was followed by the second place finish of Condon in 1:09.72.
New Canaan's Alyssa Berry was victorious in the 100 breaststroke in 1:20.54, and second place went to Bucci in 1:22.13.
In the 400 freestyle, Aliapoulios, Jenna Egan, Berry and Dalia claimed first in 3:56.48, and they were followed by the second place team of Colwell, Meghan Egan, Castle and Ettinger in 4:01.94.
