New Canaan forecast: Warm after early showers

Scattered showers are falling early this morning across southwestern Connecticut, but when the precipitation tapers off later this morning, the temperature is expected to rise to about 50 degrees.

Skies, however, are likely to remain mostly cloudy, with a west wind between 5 and 8 mph.

Tonight will also be cloudy, with a low temperature around 32. There will be a northwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm.

Tomorrow, there is a chance of rain, mainly after 2 p.m. with a daytime high temperature in the mid-40s. Overnight, periods of rain are expected, with the temperature falling to a low in the mid-30s.

On Friday, there is a chance of rain before 7 a.m., but skies will clear later and the temperature is expected to rise into the low-50s. Nighttime is mostly clear, with a low temperature in the upper-20s.

Saturday, the weather service predicts, should be mostly sunny, with a high in the mid-40s.
