New Canaan forecast: Things start warming up

A warming trend will be felt today across southwestern Connecticut, with temperatures rising to the 40s and 50s by week's end.
Today will be sunny, according to the National Weather Service, with a daytime high near 40 degrees. Winds will be calmer than yesterday's bluster, with a southwest breeze registering at between 8 and 11 mph.
Tonight, clouds move in but the temperature stays warmer than recent nights, with a low in the mid-30s.
Skies will be mostly sunny tomorrow and the daytime high temperature is expected to be about 48 degrees, the NWS says. Overnight, the low will be about 39.
On Friday, there is a slight chance of showers after noon under mostly cloudy skies. The high temperature should rise into the mid-50s. There will be a west wind between 7 and 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. The nighttime low will be about 37 degrees.
Saturday should be sunny and windy, with a high near 43, the weather service predicts.
And Sunday also is expected to be mostly sunny and breezy, with a high near 40 degrees.
