The morning sunshine today is expected to cloud over by afternoon, according to the National Weather Service, as scattered showers move across southwestern Connecticut.

Skies will grow cloudier throughout the day, as the temperature rises to a daytime high of about 60 degrees. There will be a west wind between 10 and 13 mph.

Tonight, the clouds will gradually clear, with a low temperature registering in the mid-40s.

Tomorrow, rain is likely, mainly after 11 a.m., the NWS says, under cloudy skies. The temperature will rise to the upper-50s and there will be an east wind between 9 and 17 mph. There remains a chance of showers before midnight and the temperature will fall to the mid-40s.

Friday is expected to be sunny, with a high temperature reaching about 60 degrees. Nighttime will be mostly clear, with a low temperature around 40 degrees.

The outlook for Saturday, the weather service says, is partly sunny conditions with temperatures rising to the mid-50s.
