Sunny skies and colder temperatures will prevail today across southwestern Connecticut.
The National Weather Service says the daytime high temperature will be only about 40 degrees, with a north wind 5 to 9 mph, becoming light and variable in the afternoon.
Tonight will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature around 30 degrees and a light south wind.
Tomorrow, there is a chance of showers after 1 p.m., the NWS says. Skies will be mostly cloudy, with a high temperature near 45 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
There is also a chance of rain on Friday night, as skies remain clouds and the temperature dips to a low of about 40 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.
On Saturday, there is a 50 percent chance of rain, as cloudy conditions continue and the temperature rises to the low-50s There is also a chance of showers Saturday night, with a low temperature in the low-40s. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
Sunday also brings a chance of rain as the temperature rises to a high of about 50 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. Showers also are possible Sunday night, with a low temperature about 40 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.
The outlook for Monday, according to the weather service, is cloudy, temperatures in the mid-50s and rain likely.
